A Chinese ceremonial dragon head, a serpent body and a rattlesnake tail come together in a whimsical sculpture of a 300 foot long dragon in the desert. Metal sculpture artist Ricardo Breceda created 131 different presentations around Borrego Springs, California. Dennis Avery, Son of Stanton Avery, commissioned these pieces of art and placed them on his Galleta Meadows properties between 2008 and 2012.
